Cool

Awesome showing of fans and alumni, I'm guessing it was probably between 8000-10,000.
Great dunk contest, everything from Meeker hanging from the rim and dunking with his feet to Hicks jumping over 5 people, to White taking off from the foul line and everything in between. Another awesome job by the dance team and cheerleaders. Introductions of both teams and a scrimmage to end it. They had an autograph session first.
Great turnout, a good time as always. Great to see Huggins get an ovation like that. Nice Job by the Helicopter MCing the dunk contest.
I know it's still a couple more weeks until it starts, but I am ready for H P S Season to begin.

I haven't been to Midnight Madness for a while, but my all-time favorite moment was in 1994 when I saw student Corey Clouse sink a half court shot to win room and board for a year. It was broadcast live on ESPN. Before the shot, Dick Vitale promised to "throw in the books, baby" which according to yesterday's Enquirer, he never paid up.

That was such a fun night. When the ball went through the net, Shoemaker went absolutely nuts as we watched Clouse, the Bearcat mascot, and Vitale jump up and down on the court.

ESPN ranked Clouse's shot 13th in it's top 25 basketball moments of the last 25 years.

Good times.

H hung from the rim by his hands and had somone put the ball between his feet. He then pulled his feet up over his head dropping the ball through the hoop.

Clouse got another try last night (he missed) they showed the one he mae over the video monitors, then he took another half court shot for a chance to go on a road trip to one of the bearcats road games this year.
